What you will do

• Perform high-complexity molecular diagnostic oncology testing according to established laboratory SOPs.
• Execute next-generation sequencing workflows, including DNA/RNA quantification, library preparation, cleanup, hybridization, capture, and sequencing.
• Operate Illumina NovaSeq 6000 and NovaX sequencing platforms.
• Perform quality control, proficiency testing, reagent and instrument qualification, decontamination, and routine laboratory maintenance.
• Enter clinical patient data into the Laboratory Information Management System.
• Support NGS procedure documentation, training coordination, and workflow optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical, or biological science, or an equivalent qualifying curriculum.
• 1–2+ years of post-baccalaureate clinical experience in a CAP/CLIA high-complexity laboratory.
• Human sample testing experience in a CAP/CLIA high-complexity clinical laboratory is required.
• At least 6 months to 1 year of experience with NGS workflows and molecular biology techniques.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, interdisciplinary collaboration, and self-direction.
• Ability to complete 12 annual CEUs in oncology or molecular biology in accordance with applicable regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics and automated liquid handling systems.
• Knowledge of LIMS platforms and computer systems.
• Experience with Illumina NovaSeq 6000 and NGS.
• Experience in oncology, comprehensive genomics, or CLIA/CAP high-complexity laboratories.
