Field Service Technician I (Los Angeles, CA)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; field service remote role with on-site customer repairs and occasional schedule changes or overtime.

What you will do

• Repair, clean, refurbish, sharpen, maintain, and test precision surgical instruments and assigned equipment.
• Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Complete daily work orders and update customer reports accurately and on time.
• Build positive customer relationships, understand requirements, and provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with Field Service Technicians II, senior technicians, sales teams, and technical colleagues.
• Maintain the work area and company equipment while following applicable ISO and FDA regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Computer knowledge and clear communication skills are required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety, operating, maintenance, and procedure documents; write routine reports; and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and perform work involving hands, arms, sitting, standing, and walking.
• Occasional overtime and changes in shift scheduling are required to meet customer needs.

Nice to have

• Experience machining or handling delicate metal instruments.
• Technical degree.
