Field Service Engineer - GC/GCMS (Analytical Chemistry)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; Greater Los Angeles area including LA, Orange, Ventura, and Riverside Counties. The role involves visiting customer laboratories and includes 35% travel. Remote work is also available as an option.

Salary: $36.38–$63.75 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, implement, maintain, and repair GC, GCMS, and other company or multi-vendor laboratory systems at customer sites.
• Install and optimize hardware, software, networking products, operating systems, and integrated configurations.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment performance problems and respond proactively to potential failures.
• Advise customers on preventive maintenance and configurations that affect system performance.
• Deliver integrated solutions involving peripherals, communications, operating systems, and applications.
• Train customers and other field engineers on supported solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a science field, preferably chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or biotechnology.
• At least 1 year of relevant service experience or experience working with analytical chemistry instruments such as GC or GCMS.
• Experience troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
• Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel and visit customers.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with hirify.global solutions.
• Prior experience with GC and GCMS products.
