Facilities Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Own, sustain, and improve the reliability, capability, capacity, and operational performance of mechanical facility systems.
• Design engineering scopes of work, conduct design reviews, evaluate upgrades, and perform feasibility studies and testing.
• Support Oil Free Air, HVAC, exhaust, process vacuum, PCW, wet systems, and fire and life safety systems.
• Partner with internal customers, service providers, contractors, and facilities teams to maintain systems within specified limits.
• Lead troubleshooting, systematic problem solving, maintenance, testing, commissioning, and operational efficiency improvements.
• Provide technical guidance, support emergency recovery efforts, contribute to capital budgets, and participate in cross-site engineering and audit teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience, or a master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with mechanical system design, operations, engineering, management, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance, and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety systems, facility maintenance processes, design drawings, specifications, and environmental and EHS compliance.
• Experience in semiconductor fabrication or advanced semiconductor manufacturing, including mechanical facilities reliability, load and capacity modeling, progressive build, tool installation, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, independent working, collaboration, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to provide occasional weekend engineering support and travel when required.

Nice to have

• Certification as a Fire Safety Manager or Fire Safety Officer by the local authority (Bomba).
• PE or Ir registration or competence certification.
