Technology Development Engineer Intern (Silicon Photonics)

What you will do

• Prepare documentation for silicon photonics process-flow setup.
• Fabricate and integrate silicon photonics process development according to process documentation and operating instructions.
• Summarize and analyze inline measurements, including thickness and critical dimension data.
• Document and analyze electrical and optical test results and device performance.
• Collaborate with project team members to verify that devices meet specifications.
• Follow Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security requirements while performing assigned duties.

Requirements

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical, Electrical, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field through an accredited program.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Available to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing in January 2027.

• Prior related internship or co-op experience.
• Leadership experience from work, school projects, or competitions.
• Project management skills, including innovation, execution, and navigating ambiguity.
• Interest in using AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, workflows, and decision-making.
