FPGA Customer Quality Engineer (FPGA)

Location: Shanghai, China; regular on-site travel to customers and manufacturing partners may be required.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, debug, identify, and resolve FPGA product quality issues across hardware, firmware, software, boards, systems, and manufacturing.
• Partner with external customers, manufacturing partners, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to drive issue resolution.
• Lead root-cause analysis, containment, corrective and preventive actions, cross-functional alignment, and timely communication.
• Support lead customers with use-case alignment, system and environmental requirements, product qualification, and production ramp-up collateral.
• Improve collection and use of customer and manufacturing data for monitoring, testing, failure prediction, quality assessment, and continuous improvement.
• Conduct customer and manufacturing-partner meetings and quality reviews, including on-site engagements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience with FPGA and/or ASIC products in design, validation, test, quality engineering, lab debug, or applications engineering.
• 10+ years of experience providing external customer support for FPGA- or ASIC-based designs and leading component-debug activities.
• 10+ years of experience with board-level design, bring-up, validation, and hardware-system debugging.
• 10+ years of experience with FPGA development tools such as hirify.global Quartus, including FPGA architecture, IP integration, and timing, voltage, and temperature considerations.
• Full conversational and written fluency in Mandarin and English is required. At least 5 years of experience with high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, PCIe, DDR, HDMI, USB, AXI, or similar protocols is also required.

• 12+ years of experience with FPGA and/or ASIC products.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and planning skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel for customer and partner engagements.
