Senior Data Engineer SQL

Location: United States — Remote

Salary: $110,000–$155,000 annually, depending on experience and location.

What you will do

• Build and support highly available batch, distributed, and real-time data pipelines.
• Develop fault-tolerant, self-healing, adaptive, and accurate computational pipelines.
• Consult on and lead the implementation of complex data engineering programs.
• Maintain documentation for assigned systems and projects.
• Tune distributed queries processing billions of rows.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent resolutions for software and business process issues.

Requirements

• Strong data engineering experience with Databricks, Azure, SQL, Python, Spark, data management, cloud services, and automation tools.
• Expertise with SQL Server and T-SQL for query-heavy workloads, plus read-only PostgreSQL experience.
• Python and FastAPI, scikit-learn, acceptance and likelihood models, and Kafka consumption.
• Ability to read C# well enough to extract application logic and read Terraform configurations.
• Working knowledge of AWS S3, RDS, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch.
• Industry experience delivering data engineering, analytics, or data science projects, or a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field.

• Additional experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and read-only PostgreSQL.
