Sr. Software Engineer - Linux Sensor (Hybrid)

Location: USA — Sunnyvale, CA; hybrid work with 2–3 days per week on-site

Salary: $140,000–$215,000 base per year, plus eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and develop Linux software for deployment on servers.
• Build core features for the Falcon Host Linux sensor, a lightweight endpoint security agent.
• Own features from design through delivery and collaborate with multifunctional teams across locations.
• Work across core operating-system areas including file systems, memory, processes, and networking.
• Troubleshoot product issues reported by customers and support frequent Agile releases.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to write high-quality C/C++ code through professional, academic, or community experience.
• Experience developing Linux or Unix product software with high concurrency and strong multithreading requirements.
• Experience building highly reliable software with strict requirements for memory usage, performance, and standards conformance.
• Experience working on a team to ship major features and releases.
• Ability to communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
