Cloud Enterprise Architect (Cloud)

Location: On-site in Chantilly, Virginia or Reston, Virginia, United States

Salary: $175,200–$195,000 per year for the Virginia area.

What you will do

• Provide enterprise-level cloud architecture guidance across mission systems and ensure consistency, interoperability, and integration.
• Develop and enforce architectural governance frameworks, technical standards, security guardrails, and architectural decision records.
• Lead security architecture reviews, compliance assessments, Authorization to Operate processes, and Risk Management Framework alignment.
• Advise government stakeholders on architecture strategy, cloud adoption, vendor selection, and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to systems engineering lifecycle processes, MLOps pipeline design, and Data Mesh architectures.
• Manage cloud cost optimization, financial governance, program milestones, and interdependencies across Agile/Scrum teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, bachelor’s degree with 8+ years, or no degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph required.
• Experience supporting cloud environments or enterprise IT systems in Department of Defense or Intelligence Community settings.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and enterprise systems architecture principles.
• On-site work in Chantilly or Reston, Virginia is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Intelligence Community space or counterspace mission systems.
• AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator/Architect, Security+, or similar certification.
• Experience with hybrid cloud, cross-domain solutions, or secure classified cloud environments.
