Senior Platform Engineer (DevX)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States. The role involves access to ITAR-controlled information and requires a U.S. person or eligibility for a federally issued export control license.

Base salary: $165,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Build standardized application patterns and golden-path deployment capabilities for Amazon EKS.
• Promote secure AI-assisted development by establishing AI guardrails, governance, observability, and operational support.
• Lead the long-term developer experience roadmap across multiple software disciplines.
• Engineer resilient traffic paths with timeouts, retries, circuit breaking, failure isolation, chaos testing, and automated remediation.
• Implement end-to-end observability, alerting, diagnostics, documentation, and support flows.
• Optimize infrastructure performance and cost while stewarding versioning, migrations, deprecations, telemetry, and code quality.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience, with 8+ years building developer tooling and deployment patterns.
• Proficiency in Go, TypeScript, Python, or C#, plus disciplined source-control and code-review workflows.
• Deep experience designing, developing, and deploying applications on Amazon EKS.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or GitLab.
• Experience with observability, metrics, tracing, structured logs, L4/L7 telemetry, SLIs, and SLOs.
• Experience with Terraform or CDK, GitOps, progressive or canary rollouts, policy-as-code, and AI-assisted development.
