Information Technology/Data Warehouse Subject Matter Expert (AWS)

Location: On-site in Huntsville, Alabama; remote work is not supported.

What you will do

• Support an enterprise-scale migration of legacy data into a secure commercial cloud solution.
• Participate in the architecture, design, deployment, validation, and transition of legacy systems and data.
• Oversee migration into the modernized data platform and ensure data accessibility.
• Analyze and extract data, metadata, and user-applied markings from legacy applications and storage systems.
• Design storage solutions for legacy and modern architectures across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Plan and execute data validation, quality checks, reconciliation, auditability, lineage tracking, and traceability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or five additional years of documented relevant experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in Information Technology, data engineering, or data warehousing.
• Senior-level expertise in system modernization, data migration, data engineering, and database engineering.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise modernization or migration projects, preferably in federal government environments.
• Familiarity with on-premises and cloud-based environments; AWS experience is preferred.
• Active Top Secret clearance, SCI eligibility, ability to obtain a CI polygraph, and ability to work on-site in Huntsville are required.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or other industry-standard certifications.
• Knowledge of operating systems, network security, application security, security controls, risk mitigation, incident response, configuration management, and continuous monitoring.
• Experience assessing and documenting systems, infrastructure, and applications in on-premises and cloud environments.
• Experience with secure data transport and multi-domain data handling considerations.
