Production Supervisor Third Shift (Automotive)

Location: Grandview, Missouri, USA; onsite third-shift work in a 12-hour injection-molding operation

Manufacturing organization developing and producing specialty chemical systems and products for construction, transportation, automotive, marine, and renewable-energy industries.

What you will do

• Operate the assigned 12-hour shift while meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost, production, and budget targets.
• Maintain a shop-floor presence for at least 90% of working time and enforce plant safety rules, union contracts, and company policies.
• Coordinate with Materials and Quality to achieve delivery and quality requirements, including inspections, hourly checks, 5S practices, safety-device use, and SAP labeling.
• Manage shift start-up and shutdown, production priorities, run rates, and accurate SAP reporting for production, scrap, and labor.
• Train, develop, and motivate shop-floor personnel while supporting local users with digital-process knowledge.
• Test new projects, change requests, and upgrades; create incident tickets and maintain training, testing, and process documentation.

Requirements

• High school education required; some college coursework preferred.
• At least three years of previous supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented problem-solving skills with the ability to work and think independently.
• Dependable, highly organized, and able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to interact effectively with all organizational levels, including management.
