CAD Engineer Associate (Spring 2027)

Location: San Francisco, United States. U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status is required due to space technology export regulations.

Base salary: $1,925 per week.

What you will do

• Model and draw spacecraft components, structures, manifolds, and supporting structures.
• Maintain and improve the design library and design data infrastructure.
• Develop, document, and promote efficient design practices.

Requirements

• Hold a four-year B.S. degree or be pursuing an M.S. in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, industrial design, or an equivalent technical field.
• Demonstrate a passion for hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced environment.
• Have experience with SolidWorks.
• Have experience with GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements through U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or protected individual status.

Nice to have

• Experience designing complex assemblies and components.
• Experience designing spaceflight components or vacuum-compatible systems.
• Experience with surface modeling.
