Senior Systems and Safety Assurance Engineer (Rail)

What you will do

• Lead systems engineering activities for the Suburban Rail Loop East Linewide Alliance.
• Manage requirements, safety assurance, verification and validation across the project lifecycle.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment and systems assurance activities.
• Lead technical workshops, reviews and stakeholder engagement with engineers, designers, project teams and delivery partners.
• Support the delivery of integrated, safe and reliable rail infrastructure solutions.
• Contribute technical leadership to hirify.global’s national systems engineering team and future infrastructure projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering qualification.
• Chartered Engineer status, or the ability and desire to achieve chartership.
• Significant systems engineering, systems assurance or safety assurance experience in infrastructure, transport or rail.
• Strong knowledge of requirements management, verification and validation, hazard identification, risk assessment and systems assurance processes.
• Experience across rail project lifecycles and multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of rail systems, safety assurance frameworks, engineering governance, digital engineering environments and assurance management systems.
