What you will do

• Manage the full systems engineering lifecycle from concept through to delivery and acceptance.
• Execute systems design, integration, and testing for solid state radar projects.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams, including software, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.
• Implement risk management strategies from project conception to final acceptance.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior colleagues.
• Compile detailed technical proposals, specifications, and professional reports.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics (or equivalent professional experience).
• Proven experience in systems design, integration, and testing.
• Must be eligible to apply for UK Security clearance.
• Must hold a valid UK Driving License.
• Proficiency in written English (C1 level) and strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel based on project requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Radar/Radio systems or product development for Naval Platforms.
• Knowledge of communications protocols such as RS485, RS232, TCP-IP, and CANBus.
• Experience with test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analysers.
• Understanding of basic electronics, circuit-level fault finding, and soldering.
• Membership in a Professional Engineering Institution (e.g., IMechE, IET, INCOSE).
