Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Maintain, improve, and own detection engineering systems, including agentic triage and security response orchestration.
• Perform investigations and contribute to security incident response for hirify.global and its customers.
• Contribute to and operate identity and access management systems.
• Implement preventative controls, defense-in-depth measures, and high-signal alerting practices.
• Research, identify, and respond to emerging threats across hirify.global’s application and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with teams across the company on application security, infrastructure security, governance, and privacy initiatives.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industry experience in detection and response, corporate security, or generalist security engineering.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, equivalent training, or relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with alert triage, detection tuning and writing, detection-as-code, security log ingestion, investigations, incident response, IAM, phishing response, access reviews, or EDR tooling.
• Programming experience in at least one language, with Python preferred, and comfort using agentic development workflows.
• Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and corporate or defensive security tooling such as SSO, SAML, IAM, EDR, SIEM, CNAPP, and ZTNA.
• Strong written and verbal communication and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Salary: $155,000–$400,000 USD base salary per year, depending on location, education, experience, skills, and job-related knowledge.
