What you will do

• Engineer and deploy detection logic across cloud and enterprise environments using version control and peer review.
• Build and maintain incident response automation, runbooks, and tooling to reduce containment timelines.
• Mature telemetry pipelines through schema design, normalization, and enrichment to increase signal fidelity.
• Perform digital incident investigations, forensics, and malware analysis to identify attack vectors.
• Integrate alerting with messaging and ticketing systems for traceable response workflows.
• Partner with IT and engineering teams to harden identity patterns and implement scalable guardrails.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Detection Engineering, Incident Response, or Security Operations.
• Proficiency in Python or Go, with the ability to write production-grade code.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and SOAR tools in cloud-native environments.
• Strong understanding of modern cyber threats, adversary TTPs, and digital forensics.
• Experience with cloud-native environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Must be based in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, or Washington, DC

Nice to have

• Relevant security certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, CISSP, or GDSA.
