Accounting Manager – Income & Yield Forecasting (PAY Group)

Location: New York, NY; Austin, TX; or Newport Beach, CA, USA

Salary: $112,000–$128,000 base salary annually, plus discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Manage the administration and oversight of the proprietary income and yield forecasting platform for Income, High Yield, Money Market, and Short-Term strategies.
• Lead forecasting professionals producing and reviewing income, yield, expense, and distribution forecasts for senior stakeholders.
• Validate assumptions, investigate anomalies and forecast-versus-actual variances, and assess drivers at fund, sector, asset-class, and security levels.
• Provide accounting research, forecasting analysis, and actionable recommendations to investment professionals, business leaders, executive leadership, and boards.
• Improve forecasting methodologies, data quality, reporting, processes, automation, AI adoption, and supporting technology platforms.
• Lead enhancement, process improvement, regulatory change, and new-business integration projects while overseeing vendors and outsourced service providers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of experience in investment management, fund accounting, FP&A, consulting, fund administration, audit, or related financial services.
• Experience with investment decision support, income or yield analysis, forecasting, accounting advisory, or related analytical functions.
• Strong knowledge of fixed-income accounting, asset income, yield-related accounting, investment activity, distributions, and accounting outcomes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including complex financial data analysis, data-quality evaluation, anomaly investigation, and assumption review.
• Experience with Excel, Bloomberg, SQL, database queries, or similar analytical tools, plus experience partnering with technology teams.
• Experience managing employees and overseeing vendors, consultants, or outsourced service providers.

Nice to have

• CPA and/or CFA designation.
• Exposure to equities, derivatives, leveraged products, and other asset classes.
• Experience supporting portfolio management, front-office, product, or other business stakeholders in a consultative capacity.
