Vice President, Alternatives Accounting Manager – Income & Yield Forecasting (PAY Group)

Location: New York, NY; Austin, TX; or Newport Beach, CA, USA

Base salary: $137,500–$195,000 per year, plus a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Manage the PAY income and yield forecasting platform, focusing on alternative investment strategies.
• Expand forecasting methodologies for new investment products, strategies, and fund structures.
• Analyze fund, sector, asset class, and security-level drivers, including forecast variances and anomalies.
• Assess how investment activity, market events, accounting outcomes, and portfolio positioning affect income and yield expectations.
• Partner with investment professionals, executives, technology teams, data providers, and business stakeholders on analysis and platform improvements.
• Lead technology, process improvement, regulatory change, vendor oversight, and team development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in investment management, fund accounting, FP&A, consulting, fund administration, audit, or related financial services.
• Experience with alternative investments such as private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure, BDCs, interval funds, or other private market structures.
• Strong knowledge of alternative investment strategies, fund structures, capital activity, valuations, income generation, cash flows, and investor reporting.
• Strong fixed income accounting knowledge, particularly asset income and yield-related accounting.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, including data validation, anomaly investigation, assumption review, and financial forecasting.
• Experience with Excel, Bloomberg, SQL, database queries, automation, AI, and collaboration with technology teams.

Nice to have

• Experience overseeing vendors, consultants, or outsourced service providers.
• Exposure to equities, derivatives, leveraged products, or other asset classes.
• CPA and/or CFA designation.
