Field Service Engineer (PDC SEM Inspection & Metrology)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; onsite field service role

Salary: $37.00–$51.20 per hour

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade PDC SEM-based inspection systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment using standard diagnostics, with support from senior engineers when needed.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electron beam, vacuum, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, plasma, and gas systems.
• Help customers improve defect inspection performance, yield, tool uptime, and equipment performance.
• Work with customers and internal teams to understand process flows and inspection requirements.
• Train and mentor junior engineers while communicating directly with customers.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience supporting semiconductor equipment is preferred.
• Experience with SEM tools or e-beam inspection systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, plus experience with vacuum systems, electron beam fundamentals, and precision motion systems.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor processes and defect and yield concepts.
• Valid driver's license, communication skills, basic Microsoft Office knowledge, and ability to travel as needed.
