Staff Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Remote, North America

Annual base salary in the United States: $90,000–$120,000

What you will do

• Support daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidation of international subsidiaries.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly flux analyses and internal reporting packages.
• Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing, receipt matching, credit card transactions, and policy compliance.
• Perform treasury operations, cash postings, multi-subsidiary and multi-currency reconciliations, intercompany transfers, and short-term cash flow forecasting.
• Support audits, tax compliance documentation, financial statements, investor reporting, financial analysis, and process improvement projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 2 years of operational accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with high-volume transactions and reconciliations in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, MCA, or lending.
• Experience with NetSuite, Ramp, or FloQast.
• Experience with high-volume transactions and reconciliations.
