Location: Wallops Island, Virginia, United States; onsite work in a U.S. office

Base pay: $80,000–$95,000 USD annually

hirify.global is an end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems, including the reusable Neutron launch vehicle.

What you will do

  • Operate Electron and Neutron ground systems from the launch control room during tests, rehearsals, and launches.
  • Support the development, integration, commissioning, and testing of launch pad infrastructure, ground support equipment, and facility systems.
  • Lead testing campaigns, ground system readiness checks, and verification of launch pad hardware configurations.
  • Develop operational procedures, test plans, CONOPS documentation, and emergency response protocols.
  • Design and improve HMIs for ground control systems to increase operator efficiency.
  • Monitor real-time data, make go/no-go decisions, command ground support systems, and troubleshoot operational issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably aerospace, mechanical, electrical, chemical, or mechatronic engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in engineering design, testing, and/or operations, with a focus on electrical or software engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
  • For U.S. office roles, candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, or eligible to obtain the required ITAR authorizations.
  • Ability to work around prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, computer work, and occasional moderate noise, dust, and fumes.

Nice to have

  • Two or more years of engineering design, testing, and/or operations experience.
  • Experience with launch complex infrastructure, launch pad systems, or ground support equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with fluid, cryogenic, pressurized, hydraulic, or hazardous-material systems.
  • Experience conducting real-time hazardous operations involving propellants or high-pressure gases.
  • Experience developing operational procedures, test plans, CONOPS documentation, or emergency response procedures.
