Lead Data Architect (Azure/Databricks/Snowflake)

Location: Frisco, Texas; the candidate must live close to the designated Dallas/Frisco, TX IT location.

Salary: $129,300–$177,800 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Define and drive enterprise data, analytics, and architecture strategy across Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and related cloud services.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available data platform solutions.
• Establish standards and reference patterns for data integration, governance, security, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for API-based, event-driven, and real-time integration architectures.
• Partner with engineering, product, business, governance, and security teams to align solutions with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, lead architecture reviews, and mentor engineering teams across strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in solution, data, or enterprise architecture roles.
• Deep hands-on experience with Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, and modern data platform architectures.
• Strong experience with API-based, event-driven, distributed systems and operational data integration for real-time APIs.
• Experience designing secure solutions covering identity management, access controls, secrets management, and data protection.
• Working knowledge of AI/ML and Generative AI architectures, plus strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience in healthcare, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience with GCP and/or AWS in addition to Azure.
• Experience leading cross-functional architecture initiatives and driving technology strategy.
