Senior Industrial Automation Field Service Technician (Rockwell Automation)

Location: Amarillo, Texas, United States; frequent travel to customer facilities is required

What you will do

• Provide on-site services supporting process and discrete manufacturing operations.
• Evaluate installed Rockwell Automation hardware, software, and networked equipment.
• Troubleshoot industrial control systems, perform programming and drive startups, and support system modernization and reliability improvements.
• Collect installed-base data through site walk-throughs and document work in professional reports.
• Present technical findings, clarify customer issues, and identify additional service or product opportunities.
• Mentor, train, and coach Field Service Technicians and may act as a Team Lead.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience with industrial control systems, including PLC, HMI/SCADA, plant historian, motor control, and motion control technologies; Rockwell or comparable platforms.
• Knowledge of industrial Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash standards and best practices.
• High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read machine and process documentation, manage time across engagements, gather project data, and work independently.
• Strong communication, organization, adaptability, customer service, Microsoft Office, and peer-mentoring skills.
