TL;DR
Senior Director, Government Pricing (Pharmaceuticals): Leading government pricing operations, compliance, transparency reporting, and strategic oversight for Medicaid, Medicare, FSS, and 340B programs with an accent on pricing calculations, regulatory compliance, and financial impact modeling. Focus on overseeing AMP, BP, ASP, NFAMP, and 340B calculations, managing audits and SOX activities, and leading complex cross-functional initiatives across pharmaceutical operations.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States. Hybrid-eligible with remote work permitted up to two days per week, or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility.

Base salary: $232,000–$348,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

  • Lead the Government Pricing and Transparency team across operations, compliance, and state price transparency.
  • Oversee and approve AMP, BP, ASP, NFAMP, 340B, and related government pricing calculations, documentation, and assumptions.
  • Lead analytics, scenario planning, forecasting, and financial impact assessments for Medicaid, FSS, Medicare, and 340B programs.
  • Oversee state price transparency reporting, regulatory change implementation, external audits, and SOX compliance activities.
  • Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, GIS, Government Affairs, Accounting, and pharmaceutical operations on contracts, systems, and regulatory alignment.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while sponsoring complex cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 12+ years of professional experience in pharma, biotech, or a relevant consulting environment, including 5 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Advanced understanding of FSS and CMS statutory programs, government payer pricing calculations, state price reporting, 340B, Coverage Gap Discount, and Tricare programs.
  • Experience with forecasting, modeling, and estimating financial impacts to gross-to-net revenue.
  • Knowledge of the US payer landscape, public policy, commercial and government payers, distributors, 3PLs, specialty products, and chargebacks.
  • Experience with Revitas or Model N systems, GxP, audits, compliance, and cross-functional leadership.

Nice to have

  • Experience leading contracting strategy, contract management, and contract operations.
  • Familiarity with limited distribution networks and specialty pharmacy operations.
