AVP, Government Reimbursement (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Advise large health system clients on government reimbursement strategies across Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare.
• Gather and analyze hospital data for Medicare cost reports and reimbursement optimization.
• Support 340B program compliance, eligibility assessments, and accurate billing processes.
• Analyze DSH eligibility, Medicaid days, and Medicaid Directed Payment programs to identify and optimize revenue opportunities.
• Guide healthcare providers through audits, appeals, compliance inquiries, and reimbursement complexities.
• Build relationships with payers, government agencies, and stakeholders while training client staff on reimbursement regulations and best practices.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of state and federal healthcare reimbursement policies.
• Strong understanding of CMS guidelines, Medicaid Managed Care rules, and HRSA 340B regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial and reimbursement data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Leadership decision-making, delegation, coaching, and talent-development capabilities.
• Strong executive communication and program/project management skills.
