Software Engineer - Content Ingestion (AWS/GCP)

Location: Austin, United States; hybrid schedule with office work generally required Monday through Thursday and flexible remote work on Fridays

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain APIs and batch jobs for ingesting, processing, and distributing multimedia assets.
• Build and manage on-premises and cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP using Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager.
• Manage Docker and Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based development workflows.
• Optimize performance, reduce costs, manage technical debt, and participate in on-call rotations for critical production services.
• Coordinate data ingestion requirements with US-based content partners and collaborate with engineering teams in Utah and Seoul, South Korea.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or cloud operations.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, C++, or Go.
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP, Linux, relational and non-relational databases, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, observability, message queues, caching, and system scaling.
• Strong problem-solving, written, verbal, cross-cultural, and cross-time-zone communication skills, with willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Experience using agentic engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, MCP servers, custom skills, or agent frameworks.
• Examples of shipping production work with AI or automation tools.
