Senior Software Application Development Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid work in Phoenix, Arizona, or Folsom, California, United States; US citizenship required.

Annual salary: $117,620–$227,270 USD.

What you will do

• Identify automation opportunities and build generative AI and agentic solutions that improve reliability, operational efficiency, and delivery speed.
• Transform manual processes into automated workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Plan, provision, configure, maintain, and operate software supporting automation and operations within enterprise governance constraints.
• Build, test, validate, and release automation capabilities in collaboration with ASE/Enablement and PM teams.
• Own source control, versioning, component builds, packaging, release staging, and acceptance criteria across the delivery pipeline.
• Develop and maintain test automation tooling and CI/CD infrastructure.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM-related field.
• At least 3 years of Python experience.
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model with time split between an assigned Intel site and off-site work.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or another STEM-related field.
• Experience with generative AI, LLMs, RAG systems, and agentic solutions.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience automating manual processes into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Git, branching strategies, Unix/Linux, and shell scripting.
