Director, Product Management - Process Simulation

Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $196,800–$246,000 base compensation annually, plus bonus or variable incentive pay.

What you will do

• Define and execute the product strategy, vision, roadmap, positioning, pricing, differentiation, and competitive strategy for Aspen HYSYS.
• Own the Agile product lifecycle from ideation and formation through execution, supported by business cases and value analysis.
• Drive customer adoption, expansion into new markets, new capability launches, and overall portfolio growth.
• Build relationships with key customers, industry leaders, and strategic partners while advocating for customer-centric product development.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Sales, Services, Solution Consulting, R&D, AI, UX, and other product portfolios.
• Lead, hire, coach, retain, and manage the performance of a high-performing Product Management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in the petroleum, energy, or process industries.
• Strong understanding of process simulation technologies and workflows.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop product strategies, business cases, growth plans, and competitive analyses for enterprise software products.

Nice to have

• MBA.
• Product Management experience in industrial software, engineering software, or process industries.
• Experience leading or mentoring Product Management teams.
• Knowledge of Agile product development methodologies.
• Experience with Aspen HYSYS or similar process simulation solutions.
