Groundwater Field Technician (Hydrogeology)

Location: On-site in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada; travel to remote field locations throughout British Columbia and Yukon is required. Relocation support is available.

Salary: CAD 65,000–95,000 per year

What you will do

• Deliver hydrogeological field programs, including groundwater sampling, tracer studies, pumping tests, and packer tests.
• Supervise borehole drilling and monitoring well installation programs.
• Operate and maintain specialized field testing and monitoring equipment.
• Analyze groundwater data and prepare factual and interpretive technical reports.
• Provide technical input and collaborate with multidisciplinary environmental experts.
• Promote environmental health and worker safety during field activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science with a focus on groundwater.
• 1–3 years of related experience in environmental consulting or the mining industry.
• Previous experience supervising drilling programs.
• Willingness to travel and participate in field programs in remote locations throughout British Columbia and Yukon.
• Strong communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
