Electrical Engineer, Firmware (Medical Devices)

What you will do

• Design, build, and test connected embedded systems and firmware for endovascular robotic medical devices.
• Architect, program, implement, debug, and modify firmware.
• Translate product requirements into design specifications and verification tests.
• Design PCBAs with analog, digital, and embedded components, including schematic capture, layout, and component selection.
• Develop test fixtures, procedures, and test scripts using tools such as Python.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers to integrate hardware and firmware into market-ready medical devices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 3–5 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience writing firmware and designing analog and digital circuits, including signal processing, A/D, D/A, and power systems.
• Experience with sensored and sensorless motor-control techniques.
• Experience with PCB development, circuit modeling software such as PSpice or LTSpice, and schematic capture tools; Altium is preferred.
• Experience with design for test, verification and validation, NRTL safety testing, and EMC testing according to IEC 60601.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, with strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
