Salary: USD $90,000–$95,000 yearly

What you will do

  • Support technical product innovation and turn creative toy concepts into manufacturable solutions.
  • Provide feasibility feedback to designers and project managers during early concept development.
  • Assist with mechanism development, breadboard models, functional specifications, and engineering bills of materials.
  • Translate design vision into technical specifications for development houses, tooling suppliers, and manufacturing plants.
  • Provide design guidance and serve as an engineering liaison with Operations and cross-functional New Product Development teams.
  • Support value engineering, advanced product quality planning, and corrective action programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in the toys or consumer goods industry.
  • Understanding of engineering principles, toy development, automation, tooling, materials, molding, assembly, logistics robotics, and sound.
  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
  • Working knowledge of FEA and the ability to read and understand results.
  • Knowledge of statistics, probability, raw materials, manufacturing processes, and ASTM and ISO toy industry standards.
