Senior Endpoint Management Engineer (Microsoft Intune)

Location: Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia. Permanent, full-time position based in Australia. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance is required.

What you will do

• Provide senior engineering support for enterprise endpoint platforms across servers, workstations, and mobile devices.
• Design and maintain compliance, patching, deployment, remediation, configuration, and endpoint lifecycle solutions.
• Administer Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, and co-management technologies across hybrid enterprise environments.
• Manage endpoints across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android, including provisioning, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and device security.
• Automate operational processes with PowerShell and policy-based automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, identity, cloud, networking, and infrastructure teams while mentoring junior engineers and supporting modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience managing and supporting enterprise endpoint environments.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, Endpoint Manager, MECM/SCCM, Windows administration, application packaging, software deployment, and endpoint remediation.
• Experience supporting enterprise macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android environments, including macOS Automated Device Enrollment and update management.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills, with knowledge of networking, Entra ID, hybrid identity, Azure, Microsoft 365, Conditional Access, and endpoint security controls.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with Automox, Patch My PC, Microsoft Autopatch, Windows Update for Business, Bash, Ansible, Azure Arc, or hybrid cloud management.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Cisco ISE, Zscaler, and enterprise endpoint protection technologies.
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, government, energy, transport, or critical infrastructure organizations.
• Familiarity with Australian Government security frameworks, the Essential Eight, ISM, and ASD cybersecurity guidance.
• Relevant Microsoft, Azure, or security certifications such as Endpoint Administrator Associate, AZ-104, Enterprise Administrator Expert, or CISSP.
