Head of NPI (Hardware)

Location: On-site in New York, NY; Austin, TX; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $208,000 – $263,000

What you will do

• Build the NPI process from scratch, including gate definitions, readiness criteria, and change discipline.
• Lead and develop the NPI TPM team, managing resource allocation across multiple product families.
• Own portfolio-level program visibility, reporting status and risks to leadership.
• Set transfer-to-manufacturing standards and define exit criteria for production readiness.
• Hold the RACI between TPMs and engineering leads to ensure clear ownership and decision-making.

Requirements

• 10+ years in NPI or program management at a hardware OEM or ODM.
• 3+ years leading TPM or NPI teams.
• Proven experience building stage-gate processes and ECO discipline from scratch.
• Experience managing programs spanning multiple product lines simultaneously.
• Ability to define readiness criteria and transfer standards for manufacturing.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Experience with portfolio management tooling.
