NPI Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; U.S. Persons status required to access export-controlled data

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 annual base salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Support NPI execution as spacecraft programs transition from development builds through production ramp.
• Partner with design and engineering teams on DFM/DFA feedback through concept development, PDR, CDR, and release phases.
• Develop production methodologies, process flows, assembly strategies, tooling concepts, work instructions, and production readiness plans.
• Contribute to factory development, including workflow definition, line design, GSE planning, and equipment integration.
• Support sourcing, commissioning, validation, and deployment of production equipment, tooling, and manufacturing systems.
• Maintain manufacturing documentation, process controls, configuration management, and process qualification practices while supporting cost, quality, reliability, and production-rate targets.

Requirements

• U.S. Persons status required for access to export-controlled data.
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, NPI, production development, or factory engineering.
• Experience transitioning complex hardware products from prototype or development builds into production.
• Strong knowledge of DFM/DFA, manufacturing process development, tooling design, engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Hands-on experience with process validation, hardware integration and bring-up, production troubleshooting, cross-functional collaboration, and engineering change management.

Nice to have

• Exposure to automation systems, production equipment, or advanced manufacturing processes.
• Experience in aerospace, satellites, robotics, automotive, or other high-complexity hardware industries.
