Summer 2027 Commercial Lines Underwriting Intern (Small Commercial)

What you will do

• Shadow underwriters reviewing new and renewal business, evaluating risk, and determining coverage decisions.
• Gather and review account information, exposures, and pricing data to support risk evaluation.
• Analyze portfolio data to identify trends in risk, profitability, and retention.
• Support underwriter relationships with agents and collaborate with portfolio managers, sales partners, and analysts.
• Explore how AI and automation improve file review and routine underwriting tasks.
• Complete a real underwriting project, create dashboards or presentations, and present findings and recommendations to Small Commercial leaders.
