Summer 2027 Wealth Management Internship

Location: Office-based in Columbus or Cincinnati, Ohio; Detroit or Grand Rapids, Michigan; or the Carolinas. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What you will do

• Support financial planning, investment management, portfolio analysis, wealth preservation, and retirement planning initiatives.
• Contribute to market research, portfolio reviews, financial plan development, client engagement strategies, investment analysis, and wealth management operations.
• Collaborate directly with managers and team members on department initiatives and meaningful business projects.
• Provide recommendations for improving department activities and work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Participate in internship events, professional development sessions, leadership discussions, innovation projects, and volunteer activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma and enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program, with at least one quarter or semester remaining after the summer program.
• Teamwork and leadership demonstrated through extracurricular activities or work experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple tasks professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Excel.
• Current full-time work authorization in the United States is required; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Academic background in finance, financial planning, economics, wealth management, investments and securities, or accounting.
• Coursework in investments and portfolio management, personal financial planning, financial markets, corporate finance, retirement planning, estate planning, risk management, financial analysis, accounting, or economics.
• Interest in banking, wealth management, financial planning, and investment strategies.
• Detail-oriented organization, time management, sound judgment, and eagerness to learn.
