Associate Electrical Engineer (MedTech)

What you will do

• Design, prototype, and test medical electromechanical systems.
• Develop analog, digital, and microcontroller-based electronics on PCBAs.
• Design, program, debug, and modify firmware in C or Rust.
• Build test fixtures, procedures, and Python test scripts.
• Integrate hardware and firmware with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.
• Maintain compliance with medical industry standards, including IEC60601-1.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, RS-485, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or similar communication protocols.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, electronic loads, soldering irons, crimpers, and other electrical test and assembly equipment.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, board assembly, and debugging; Altium is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, time-management, and organizational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with stepper and servo motion control, controls theory, and motor tuning.
• Firmware development in C++ or Rust and software development in Python.
• Experience with lithium battery management systems.
• Experience in medical or other regulated industries, including NRTL testing.
• Hands-on experience developing real products and prototypes.
