What you will do

• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for sustaining engineering, quality, and compliance initiatives.
• Lead the design, verification, and validation of mixed-signal electrical systems for surgical devices.
• Drive system-level troubleshooting and root cause investigations across electrical, mechanical, and firmware domains.
• Manage product lifecycle activities including obsolescence, supplier changes, and cost optimization.
• Review and approve electrical designs, schematics, and qualification strategies.
• Mentor and coach electrical engineers to drive engineering excellence and technical growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience (or Master's with 5+, PhD with 3+).
• Must be based in Lafayette, CO with ability to work onsite 4 days per week.
• Deep expertise in mixed-signal board design, circuit design, and PCB layout.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
• Knowledge of IEC 60601 standards and medical device development processes.
• Strong root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with EMC and electrical safety testing.
• Familiarity with Agile product development environments.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or A3 problem-solving experience.
• Experience with high-voltage systems (up to 5 kV).
