TL;DR
Electrical Engineer, Neuromodulation - Pelvic Health - Minneapolis, MN (On-Site) (Medical Devices): Designing and analyzing electrical hardware for implantable neurostimulation devices and instruments with an accent on low-power electronics, circuit analysis, component qualification, and design verification. Focus on troubleshooting field-returned products, performing root-cause analysis, supporting manufacturing and regulatory activities, and implementing controlled product changes.

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; onsite four days per week

Salary: $87,200–$130,800 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

  • Design and analyze circuits for market-released implantable neurostimulation devices and instruments.
  • Evaluate alternate electronic components through design analysis, characterization testing, and design verification testing.
  • Own product changes and change-control activities, including updates to bills of materials, specifications, drawings, and other design documentation.
  • Support manufacturing sites and suppliers with troubleshooting, yield improvement, process capability, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
  • Analyze field-returned products, perform testing, determine root causes, and support CAPA and issue escalation activities.
  • Collaborate with reliability, regulatory, operations, sourcing, manufacturing, and supplier teams on design changes, audits, regulatory submissions, and product transfers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with no required experience.
  • Experience or capability in low-power electronics design, circuit analysis, test requirement development, and test development.
  • Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for roles below Principal level.
  • For bachelor’s degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, data acquisition and control systems, and logic analyzers.
  • Experience with schematic design and PCB layout using CAD tools.
  • Experience writing engineering specifications and test plans.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methods, DOE, SPC, Gauge R&R, capability studies, and component qualification.
