Craftsperson - Apprentice (Entry) (Mold Shop)

Location: Onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States; Yellow Team schedule, 3x12 shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Salary: $30.28 per hour

What you will do

• Participate in the Craftsperson Apprenticeship Program and complete departmental program requirements.
• Assist with machining production and support equipment in the Mold Shop under the supervision of a mentor.
• Manufacture assembly machine components, tooling, fixtures, and jigs.
• Learn department-specific equipment skills, processes, and craftsperson procedures.
• Complete on-the-job training and required classroom instruction toward intermediate craftsperson responsibilities.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of technical school education.
• Have two years of related field experience to participate in the Mold Shop apprenticeship program.
• Work with limited direction while following company policies and apprenticeship requirements.
• Read safety rules, equipment maintenance instructions, mechanical drawings, and layout procedures.
• Demonstrate writing, speaking, and basic industrial mathematics skills, including algebra, calculations, angles, circumference, area, and volume.
