Toolmaker A_B/Machinist (Toolmaking/Machining): Developing, manufacturing, modifying, and repairing complex jigs, fixtures, and progressive dies for climate-product manufacturing with an accent on precision machining, complex setups, and blueprint-based work. Focus on solving difficult toolmaking challenges, applying shop mathematics and trigonometry, and updating part drawings after modifications.
Location: Tyler, Texas; onsite five days per week
Salary: $34.98/hour for Toolmaker A or $33.03/hour for Toolmaker B, plus a $1.00/hour shift differential. Second- and third-shift schedules with overtime.

What you will do
- Develop, manufacture, modify, and repair complex tools used to build climate products.
- Work with jigs, fixtures, and combination or progressive dies for piercing, blanking, and drawing.
- Set up and operate a variety of tool room machinery.
- Work accurately from drawings, sketches, instructions, and blueprints.
- Create sketches documenting part modifications for print updates.
Requirements
- Toolmaker A: graduate apprenticeship with at least four years of practical experience, or Toolmaker/Machinist B experience with at least two years in die making and repair.
- Toolmaker B: graduate apprenticeship or six years of documented equivalent equipment experience, or Toolmaker/Machinist C experience with at least one year in die making and repair.
- Experience with complex toolmaking projects, difficult work, and complex setups on tool room machinery.
- Working knowledge of shop math, including trigonometry, tool room equipment, production machinery, and production methods.
- For the Toolmaker B pathway, completion of CAD and NC coursework over two years, or a two-year precision machining program covering math, trigonometry, welding, CAD, NC, and CAM.
- This is a full-time, direct-hire, safety-sensitive position and may require additional drug screening.
