End-of-Line Systems Engineer - Manufacturing Engineering (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Warren, Michigan, with full-time reporting to the Warren Tech Center. Regular domestic and international travel is required, typically 25–50% and up to 50%. The role may be eligible for relocation benefits.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical support for complex end-of-line manufacturing issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Assess the health of end-of-line equipment, test systems, and interfaces to prevent production disruptions.
• Plan and execute equipment upgrades driven by new vehicle content, controls changes, manufacturing improvements, and regulatory requirements.
• Test, validate, and correlate new manufacturing technologies and processes using test plans, experiments, and technical documentation.
• Deploy new or modified end-of-line systems with execution teams and ensure plant readiness for production.
• Standardize and improve systems for vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, active safety calibration, and related manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, manufacturing engineering, tooling, automation, or production environments.
• Experience diagnosing complex equipment issues and validating solutions in laboratory and production environments.
• Experience developing, deploying, or supporting manufacturing equipment, hardware systems, test systems, software, and plant operations.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive technical issues to closure.
• Experience collaborating with product engineering, manufacturing engineering, suppliers, and plant operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting technical issues and communicating solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with vehicle alignment, headlamp aim, active safety calibration, or similar end-of-line technologies.
• Knowledge of forward collision mitigation, radar calibration, camera calibration, night vision, Burke Porter, Fori, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of manufacturing execution systems, tooling systems, controls, plant IT systems, cybersecurity, and vehicle manufacturing operations.
• Experience improving quality, uptime, reliability, or operational performance, or supporting vehicle launches and manufacturing readiness.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
