Sr. Systems Administrator (Azure)

Location: Roseville, California, United States; on-site work required

Annual base salary: $126,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer, maintain, optimize, patch, and recover enterprise systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Support Azure IaaS/PaaS, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Entra ID, identity services, networking, storage, and virtualization platforms.
• Manage SAN/NAS storage and enterprise backup and recovery systems, including restoration procedures and documentation.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues with vendors and internal support teams.
• Develop infrastructure automation, configuration management tools, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Apply security, privacy, compliance, quality, lifecycle management, monitoring, and capacity-planning practices; participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with 8+ years of enterprise systems administration or engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years supporting Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, PowerShell, Intune, and SCCM/SCOM.
• 5+ years supporting Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS and Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience with SAN/NAS storage, enterprise backup and recovery, TCP/IP networking, Hyper-V, VMware, PKI, SSO, SAML, and OpenID.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, configuration management, DevOps automation, Cisco UCS, network hardware, SAP, and Dell Boomi.
• Ability and willingness to work on site in Roseville, California, manage concurrent priorities, document complex system designs, and respond to urgent operational issues.

Nice to have

• Experience administering Linux systems, especially RHEL.
• Windows Server Hybrid Core Infrastructure and Advanced Services certification.
