DSP Hardware Design Engineer (NPU)

Annual salary: $136,500–$253,500, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement CPU, DSP, NPU, and hardware accelerator logic.
• Develop datapath components and pipeline architectures.
• Use Verilog/SystemVerilog and EDA tools for implementation, simulation, and verification.
• Analyze and optimize AI-native hardware design workflows.
• Contribute to successful hardware implementations and tape-outs.

Requirements

• MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of relevant CPU or DSP design experience.
• Demonstrated successful CPU, DSP, NPU, or hardware accelerator implementations and tape-outs.
• Excellent logic design skills and knowledge of computer architecture and pipeline designs.
• Strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and commonly used EDA implementation, simulation, and verification tools.
• Good knowledge of Perl and experience with scripting languages.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; self-directed and motivated approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with datapath component design, assembly language programming, and C/C++ compilers.
• Knowledge of DSP algorithms for audio, speech, image, video, and communications.
• Experience with AI-native logic design, analysis, or optimization workflows.
