Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript/Node.js)

Location: Remote within the United States only. All work must be performed from U.S. locations. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $224,000–$263,000 annual cash compensation, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the architecture, rollout, migration, and scaling of critical platform services.
• Design, publish, and maintain customer-facing APIs, including contracts, versioning, authentication, security, reliability, and developer experience.
• Connect services across the platform to support customer-facing use cases and partner with data-platform teams on access patterns.
• Drive RFCs and decision records that make architectural decisions durable and shared.
• Mentor engineers, expand code-review capacity, and partner with the Engineering Manager on team health and culture.
• Build backend services with TypeScript and Node.js, contribute to React experiences, and use AI tools responsibly to improve development workflows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend development experience building reliable, scalable, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Experience designing and shipping external or public product APIs.
• Strong system-design skills, including service boundaries and data-layer collaboration.
• Comfort working in a modern React frontend codebase and building products end to end.
• Experience leading complex, ambiguous, multi-quarter initiatives and safely rolling out or deprecating major systems at scale.
• Strong written design communication, mentorship experience, and willingness to apply AI responsibly.
