Principal Full Stack Engineer (TypeScript/Python)

Salary: $160,000–$210,000 per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus and long-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead high-impact technical initiatives from discovery and architecture through execution and production iteration.
• Design and build reliable, scalable systems across React/TypeScript frontends, Python backends, cloud infrastructure, and data systems.
• Improve the developer experience for firmware engineers across device discovery, integration, debugging, monitoring, and updates.
• Drive architectural decisions, establish engineering patterns, and influence technical direction across the organization.
• Partner with product and design, contribute to strategy, and shape the roadmap using technical insight and customer empathy.
• Mentor engineers, champion large-scale changes, and raise engineering effectiveness and technical quality.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications, with demonstrated staff- or principal-level impact.
• Deep expertise in complex React/TypeScript frontends and scalable Python backends.
• Experience with Postgres, ClickHouse, AWS cloud infrastructure, and production operations.
• Ability to influence technical direction through architecture decisions, RFCs, cross-team alignment, and mentorship.
• Experience debugging incidents, writing postmortems, and building observability into production systems.
• Strong ownership, collaboration, technical judgment, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT platforms, device management, or embedded-systems tooling.
• Background in developer tools, developer experience, or platform engineering.
• Familiarity with messaging systems or high-throughput data pipelines.
