Senior Electronic Engineer (Embedded Sensors)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States — in-office. Travel is 10% or less.

Salary: $115,600–$158,900 per year, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Architect and implement PCB-level sensor interface circuits, power regulation, EMI shielding, and noise-isolation solutions.
• Select, evaluate, and qualify accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers, and other IMU components.
• Support signal conditioning, filtering, and sensor-fusion middleware for accurate orientation data.
• Design validation plans, test fixtures, and procedures covering accuracy, thermal cycling, vibration, and environmental performance.
• Define factory and field calibration procedures, prepare ECNs, and support product transition to manufacturing.
• Lead technical problem-solving, design reviews, documentation, and communication with firmware, controls, mechanical, systems, customer, and manufacturing stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in electronic circuit design, research, and debugging for embedded systems and sensors.
• Experience with OrCAD, Altium, or similar tools, including circuit design and testing.
• Strong analog electronics expertise and exposure to digital circuit design, component research, and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and SPICE/PSpice simulation software, plus familiarity with C and C++ firmware development.
• Ability to write technical specifications and present designs to customers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• MSEE or BSEE with equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with IMUs, accelerometers, and gyroscopes.
• Experience with machine-control systems or functional-safety products.
• Experience with Agile PLM, Oracle ERP, BOM creation, statistical analysis, and technical reporting.
