Fullstack Software Engineer (React/Node)

Location: Hybrid, London; attendance at the Shoreditch office at least once per week

What you will do

• Develop and maintain the dominAI web application with React and TypeScript.
• Build backend services in Node.js that integrate with AI inference pipelines and simulation systems.
• Own well-scoped features from requirements refinement through delivery and operational support.
• Plan and execute development sprints, provide estimates, and collaborate with UX designers and cross-functional specialists.
• Maintain quality through automated and manual testing, QA collaboration, and code review.
• Expand full-stack capabilities through pairing, mentorship, and feedback from senior engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Professional experience building web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Working proficiency in Node.js, including contributions to backend services.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical work to engineers and stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Vetted status at least at SC level.
• Willingness to attend the London office at least once a week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vite, API design, data modelling, backend integration patterns, event-driven architectures, message queues, or real-time data systems.
• Familiarity with MUI, Tailwind, Zustand, or Immer.
• Experience integrating with AI services or simulation platforms.
• Interest in defence, Military Modelling and Simulation, or command-and-control systems.
• Interest in travelling for customer deployments, hackathons, and industry events.
