Senior Identity Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in Boston, Massachusetts; Vancouver, British Columbia; or Vancouver, Washington

Salary: $110,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Own identity and access management across the platform, including authentication, authorization, and secure machine-to-machine processes.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure authentication systems for internal tools and customer-facing experiences.
• Improve security posture across applications, infrastructure, and development workflows through scalable standards and automated guardrails.
• Embed SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning, secret management, and secure build and deployment practices into CI/CD pipelines.
• Build internal security tooling and support operational visibility and compliance workflows.
• Partner with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Product teams to identify vulnerabilities, communicate risk, and drive remediation.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or Software Engineer with a strong security focus.
• Production experience building and operating software, systems, or internal tooling.
• Strong background in application security, infrastructure security, secure CI/CD, identity and access management, authentication, authorization, and machine-to-machine security.
• Experience applying OWASP, NIST, or CIS Controls and supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance.
• Familiarity with cloud security tooling, SIEM/SOAR tools, Terraform or CloudFormation security scanning, and modern backend systems including C#.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, influence, ownership, and communication skills.
